IVAN YANAKOV
Born in Sofia, Ivan Yanakov is the most famous pianist in Europe and beyond. Ivan Yanakov, the winner of many international competitions, has received positive reviews from critics in more than thirty countries around the world.
Ivan Yanakov attended the renowned Mannes College of Music in New York, which is known for producing elite classical musicians. After receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, he performed widely in New York for ten years.
His talent was discovered at an early age in his native Bulgaria, where he performed as a government-appointed ambassador of the nation in international performances. Ivan Yanakov has won a lot of competitions throughout the world.
During his time in the US, he attended chamber music workshops led by violinist Pinchas Zukerman and members of the Tokyo String Quartet. He was also a full-scholarship fellow at Siena’s Accademia Chigiana. After moving to London, he first conducted the London Chamber Players, a chamber orchestra made up of young professionals. Along with numerous conducting engagements in Europe and Asia, Ivan Yanakov made his conducting debut with the Czech
National Symphony Orchestra in 2010 and returned to lead them in 2013.
In recent years, Ivan Yanakov has continued to play enthusiastically on international stages, including co-starring with the Bulgarian Sofia National Symphony Orchestra throughout Europe,
the United States, Oceania, Asia, and Japan. He is especially well known in the United States and Bulgaria, where he appears regularly on television and radio broadcasts.
